Tyler Moore

It was around three fifteen p.m. and Life rushed round to the drive and began to bark. A slim figure with flame colored hair came nearer and nearer up the drive pushing a cycle.
"Hi Mister McCormack." grinned Ty, unperturbed by the barking dog.
"Quiet Life" I ordered, and after examining my watch, I turned my attention to the youth.
"Hi...Tyler,  I presume. You're right on time."  Walking to meet him the last few steps, we shook hands.
"What would you like me to do first, and by the way I prefer being called Ty." He half smiled and pushed the cycle round the back and leant it up against the back of the farmhouse.
"I'll show you where the bridles are"
"Okay, Ty it is. Let's see. There's a bridle I need you to take to pieces and give a good clean with saddle soap. Then put it back together when you're done. Come, I'll show you where the bridles are kept."
We walked into the barn to where the bridles were hanging. I handed him one I wanted cleaned and then went and got him the saddle soap and a dry cloth or two from off the old work bench.
"Think you can manage that ?"
 "Sure, cool." came the reply.
After watching Tyler begin to take the bridle apart, I left to check up on the horses in one of my fields.
A bit of mutual grooming was going on

Lady and Drifter were mutual grooming each other, and behind them, Smokie and Pepper were drinking out of the water trough. Flint was making his way for a drink too.
Only Storm was in the stables today. I had wormed her just in case. She had looked a bit out of sorts.  After watching them 'horse around', I went back into the barn and checked the spread sheets.
The spread sheets were pinned on the information board above the work bench. On the sheets were the times and names of the clients for that day...Monday in this case.
What! I couldn't believe my eyes. Johnny must of crossed out a few bookings and not thought to inform me.  I'll have to have words with him tomorrow. I frowned.
"Is this okay Mister McCormack ?"
I turned my head in the direction of where the question had come from. Tyler was holding up the bridle he had just cleaned. Tyler waited nervously chewing gum as I inspected it.
"Yes that's a real good job you've done there Tyler...I mean Ty," Tyler looked pleased, "Um, hang it back on that peg over there and seeing as you made a good job clean the rest, and after that can you bring  a couple of bales of hay and drop them just here ?". I motioned to a space in the barn where I wanted them. "Oh you'll find a blue wheelbarrow over where the hay and straw is stored across the way." I pointed over in the direction...just to make sure he knew where.
Outside hay and straw storage
"Sure, cool." replied Tyler, and he made a start on cleaning the rest of the bridles.
That should keep him busy for the rest of his time here today. Tomorrow I would find him a different job such as checking the fences were in order.
As I now found myself with time on my hands I thought it would be a good time to go and install Skype on my laptop. Then I would be able to see and talk to Kate. She already had Skype on her laptop. Downside is I told my brother Bodie what I was planning and it wouldn't take long before mom and dad caught on. Still I enjoyed talking over things with my brother...man things. He could advise me on certain things like business dealings and...woman problems. I snickered to myself at that thought as he asked me for advice sometimes.
Also I think Dionne had access to Skype too. So if I wanted to, I could follow her where ever she went on her 'Stock Buying' trips for the firm she works for 'Kali Fashions', but on second thoughts may be Kate would be more thrilled with that side ?
So now here you find me at my laptop searching for Skype to download. Now what password shall I use ?
"What the...get down Life, where did you come from any way ?" I needed to concentrate here.
"No, don't do that!" I groaned. Too late. Life jumped onto my lap licking my face and thumping her tail continuously over the keyboard, throwing my laptop into some kind of...of mayhem!
I pushed Life as hard as I could on to the floor.
"Flaming dog!" I shouted as Life slunk off.  Let's see...I stared at my laptop trying to remember what I had been pressing. Was there an 'undo' action or should I reset my laptop to an earlier time ? Then my laptop 'died' on me! Oh great! Now what!
